Meeting harsh conditions
The Heavy Duty Tag complies with the ISO 10374 directive for RFID of Freight containers. This Tag is shock and vibration proof, watertight, UV stable and chemical resistant. Applications in intrinsically safe zones are allowed based on the ATEX-certificate. The Heavy Duty Tag features reliable performance up to 10 meters [33 feet] with the TRANSIT reader as soon as it enters the reader s detection area.
The Heavy Duty Tag is ideal for tamperproof mounting by means of screws, bolts or rivets exterior on vehicle chassis. The tag can directly be mounted on a metal surface.
Container compatibility
The Heavy Duty Tag has been specifically designed to easily mount in the corrugated pockets on the sides of the freight container, where it can be automatically protected from direct impact.
Dual band technology
The Heavy Duty Tag has integrated dual band RFID technology operating at two different frequencies. As a consequence the Heavy Duty Tag can be read over long-range with the TRANSIT reader for real hands-free automatic identification.
Additionally the Heavy Duty Tag can also be read from short-range with a mobile reading unit (ID-logger) for quick and convenient data collection by fleet managers or maintenance employees.
Read Only and Read Write
The Heavy Duty Tag is available typically in a Read Only (R/O) and optional in a Read Write (R/W) version. The R/O version is factory programmed with a unique customer specific security code and a customer defined number.
The part number, tag ID number and date of manufacture are laser engraved into the enclosure of the tag.
R/W versions are also available as an option and can be user-programmed on site using the slim XS110 W desktop programming unit.

Typical applications are the intermodal logistic, petrochemical, transportation, railway and security industry where the Heavy Duty Tag an be applied to identify the trucks, trailers, containers, railway wagons, forklifts, straddle carriers and other industrial vehicles.
Private cars allow hidden mounting behind the grille for high secured environments.
